110 Asclepias viridis plants were checked this afternoon at Choctaw Trails in southwest Jackson, MS, and 72 total eggs were found. 21 plants had one egg, 12 plants had 2 eggs, 4 plants had 3 eggs, 1 plant had 4 eggs, 1 plant had 5 eggs and 1 plant had 6 eggs. 65.3% of the eggs were on the bottom leaf surface, 19.4 % on the top leaf surface, 9.2 % on the flower buds and 5.5 % on the stem. A mating pair of monarchs were also observed.
