I was very surprised to see one of my Butterfly Weeds just barely peeking through the ground on April 1st. It is in a protected area. Just north of the plant is our brick house and to the west is a sunroom about 10' away. I always thought it was one of the last plants to emerge. THen on the 4th we had some ice, but it didn't hurt the plant.
