I saw my first monarch in Lawrence, KS yesterday 4-3-03. It appeared faded and was flying around the blossoms on a purple plum tree. I'm hopeful that it is able to warm itself on some of the Jayhawk Final Four fever here as a cold wave has dropped temperatures today.
