we have flocks of american tree sparrows (25), song sparrows(15),fox sparrows(12)that arrived along with a major winter storm that left 2 1/2 feet of snow with wind chills of -35c. they have been here for 5 days throughout the storm.today was finaly milder & melting(apr.8) my feeders have been under seige over the storm.went thru 50lbs of black oil sunfl & 25lbs of cracked corn & 10lbs of peanuts.other birds earlier, robins (12), rw blackbirds&grackles(100), purple finches & gold finches(100),evening grossbeaks (30),winter birds -bluejays(75)
