At last! When I checked this morning, little red tips of my Tulips had finally appeared. I've been waiting for them, checking day after day, and was sure a hungry animal had eaten them last fall. The snow only melted off the soil yesterday.

In thinking back, I remember planting them one day before snowfall. Maybe they're somewhat late because they didn't have time for any root development last fall?

Now, to cover them before they're discovered by the deer...
