Last Saturday I planted a row of common milkweed. Today
I planted one row of spider milweed seed and one row of common milkweed seed. In addition, I planted 5 purple coneflower plants. I checked the fields today for wild milkweed and an established patch that was planted some years ago. No milkweed or monarchs. I hope to plant another butterfly garden this fall. There are 5 butterfly bushes in the front yard and 3 in the back.
