Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/12/2003

Number: 1

While walking around in my backyard this morning, I saw an adult Monarch flying from flower to flower but not landing on anything specific. It was not still long enough to see if it was male or female. It was about 11:30 a.m. and already warm with a predicted high in the low 80s. This is my first to actually see this year. My husband went on a butterfly walk with a group from the Oxley Nature Center today. It was a successful walk as they reported seeing Monarchs and many other butterflies.
