Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 04/11/2003

Number: 1

We have had two moderate waves so far but the big thrust has yet to occur. Many Robins are singing on territory but many are also just passing through. When they finally come through as they typically do I expect to see a few thousand robins in the city in a short time frame 2-3 days. We still have between 2-4 ft of snow in the bush (just outside the city - in the city (0-2ft deep). Bush Robins (as I call them) will have to rely on berries
until the snow melts. City Robins are already foraging on sunny open grass areas where they exist.
