Pawtuckaway Lake, New Hampshire. On the morning of April 15 the lake was only 40% ice free. But an 85 degree day, with brisk winds, made for an astounding day of melting. By sunset we were at about 82% ice free. Overnite temps in the 50s caused nearly all the remaining ice to be gone by morning. April 16 is 2003 ICE-OUT for Pawtuckaway Lake in Nottingham New Hampshire. For details on our local ice-out contest, and its winner, visit www.pawtuckawaylake.com.
