Robins are just now starting to advertise their presence in our neighbourhood. Up until the weekend (April 12-13) we heard only the occasional "chatter", but, now I'd say the songs are more songlike and heard in the wee hours of the morning and again at dusk. Though I'd seen a few robins earlier, on April 4th there were 9 robins in our backyard and on the 5th there were 15 in our backyard and in the neighbouring yards - lots of fresh snow on the ground and the added attraction of a few frozen apples, crab-apples and chokecherries on the trees in our yard helped in our being able to enjoy a true "wave" of robins.
