in the foot
hills of the Berkshires, Heath MA on April 23rd the yellow spotted
salamanders migrated to the ponds to mate and lay eggs. Because we are in
the hills, we are later than the Pioneer Valley migration in March. This is
in fact a rather early date for us. I have seen them goas late as mid May,
weather permitting. Deborah Porter
