Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 04/27/2003

Number: 1

There was a faded female monarch oviposting in a patch of common milkweed this afternoon. She was in the milkweed patch about 40 minutes. There are approximately 25 A.syriaca plants up as of today. Also, I found several patches of asclepias viridis in the field today. Some were in bloom and the others should bloom in a week. Skies were clear with light winds and temps in the upper 70'.
