Spring Monarch activity may be over for central Mississippi. No adults have been sighted at the Choctaw Trails location in southwest Jackson since April 22. This morning I spent about 30 minutes in the fields and no adults were seen, no eggs were found and no larvae were found; this is also true of observations made on April 25 in midafternoon. Captive specimens continue to pupate in the lab but no new adults have emerged yet.
