We went out for recess on the school playground on Thurs., May 1st. The sugar maple tree by the swings had leaves drooping-down,about the size of a nickel. Then on Monday, May 5th, we went back outside in the morning to check our tree. We saw its leaves were about the size of a quarter. The leaves were high up, still curled downward but not as much as before. We used our quarter to measure the leaves. They were about the size of a quarter. We had a maple leaf-out!
