The Common Milkweed is NOT up in Central NY. There is a patch of Cynanchum nigrum that I checked yesterday where A. syriaca also grows. The Black Swallow Wart is up about six inches, but the milkweed is not. This is very late here for the milkweed to not be showing yet. In my gardens, I do have A. incarnata ssp pulchra up about 1 inch and I also have A. hallii (Colorado
native) up about two inches.
