I checked the milkweeds this morning to see how the eggs were doing, and I saw babies!!!!! The larvae were about 1 to 2 centimeters long. They were happily eating on the milkweed. They weathered a bad storm early Sunday morning, still eating. We will keep an eye on them to see how they progess.
