Last week I had 6 Chrysalis develop into beautiful butterflies from caterpillars that I had collected in my container - 3 in one day and 3 the next.

Although I have at least 1 butterfly on my milkweed every day I was not finding any caterpillars until the past few days. As of today I have collected 9 (1 large one but most of them very very tiny. Why am I collecting them so soon? What articles I've read stated they have few enemies, but wasps definitely are one of them. I witnessed a wasp attack and carry away a half grown caterpillar today before I could get it off the bush. Last year I witnessed it two times. This might be of interest to others.
