Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/18/2003

Number: 1

While at a baseball game in West Hartford, CT today, a big and bright monarch flew just a few feet in front of me. It was 3 pm, about 60 - 65 degrees with a cool breeze. One of those days where you need a jacket in the shade, but are hot in the sun. I was so excited and surprised that I didn't even try to see the sex of it.
The people I was with must think I'm nuts....but I'm sure you all understand how great it feels to see "the first" of the season!
