I saw my second Monarch yesterday. It stayed on a Lantana plant for about 5
minutes. It's the first time I've seen one up close that look like it had
traveled the journey north. It was very battered--fringed/torn wing edges and
missing scales. It wasn't tagged. Having visited El Rosario, it was a real
