Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/16/2003

Number: 1

Ruby-Throated Hummingbird first sighting.
Cold weather has not moved on this spring and my sighting of the hummers seem late this year. My feeders have been up since mid April and to finally see these magnificant birds is a thrill. They are hungry and consuming the sugar water by the gallons, will put out bananas to draw fruit flys. They do buzz me when I take the feeders in for cleaning and refilling. Welcome to Minnesota hummers.
