While cutting back my lilac hedge I spotted one lonely little monarch.
I watched for a little while but could spot no more than the one.
It flitted off into the field of clover and other wild grasses ( and what I call weeds).....but probably hold many wild flowers.
It was delightful to spot the fist monarch of the season.
