I saw my first monarch, but couldn't tell if it was a male or female.(It was very fresh looking.) This has to be the 2nd since I already have 4 caterpillars that I "picked" on May 31st.

Some of the milkweed is up to 2-3 feet tall already and the white swamp milk weed is about the same size. It's been a very WET spring...

Both of these dates are very early for me...But we are in a new location, so that may have something to do with it.(only 8 miles from the former area.)
