I just saw the first adult monarch of the year. Usually I find the eggs first. I was out this morning looking for eggs and found evidence of them on some 6" high milkweed (chewed areas) but found no eggs. Then 2 hours later I saw a bright crisp monarch in my garden nectaring at my blooming chives plants. This is about a week later than last year.
