Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/09/2003

Number: 1

Just today the students and I were working in our butterfly garden at our school and our first Monarch came to greet us. It was 1:00 p.m. on June 9, 2003. The kids were so excited! Of course they cheered and clapped which made the butterfly go away. We understand that Monarchs usually do not fly alone. Is that true?
