All Other Signs of Spring

Our goldfinches are still coming back to East Texas each year. We feed over
50 each day this past winter.

We have a lot of blue birds that nest year each year. The blue birds nest
three different time in one of our blue bird nest the last two years. They
have two broods this spring and the second ones left the nest yesterday. I
will clean out the nest today so that they can raise another brood this
year, before it turns so warm.

Last year a pair of brown thrashers nested and they have nested here again
this year.

We have a pair of summer tanagers that come back each year. You can nearly
set your clock by when they come to bath in our bird bath and with in three
days they return to our yard each year.

Last fall we had a real wet fall, we did not note any Monarchs last fall
and this spring it was unusual cool spring and only one Monarch I saw in a
distant. Very sad not to see any.
