Date: 06/12/2003

Number: 1

On Thursday, June 19, 2003 I saw two adult monarchs at the Lake Station, Indiana (adjacent to Gary, IN) wetland mitigation bank. Swamp milkweed is about two feet high and common milkweed is about 8 inches high. Neither are showing signs of flowering. Rain in May was well above average. Temperatures in June have been below average.
