I saw my first monarch of the year on
Thursday, 12 June, in my yard, which is in Huntsville.
It was flying over my gravel driveway when I came
home from work, around 1700 hrs. It was not feeding
or laying eggs. I do not know how differentiate the
sexes or how to determine condition. If Ihad to
guess, it looked 'fresh' as the colours were quite
bold.
