Sweet Briar College Campus, Virginia. 19 June 2003. Still humid and wet
with some showers today. SBC, 315PM, sun burning through, hot and humid.
Checked out the upper meadow by the observatory. Apocyanum and Asclepias
syriaca in bloom amongst deep grass in the field. A few P glaucus, P.
troilus and Speyeria flying and feeding. Saw a mated pair of monarchs
flying over the meadow, very fresh. The Buddleias in the Metaglas s
parking lot just beginning, and a few of the pink ones in RR garden are
just beginning to bloom.
