Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 04/17/2003

Number: 1

Yet again, our tulips bloomed during April vacation! We were a bit surprised to return to school to find a few of the plants in Miss Catanzaro's part of the garden in bloom since it had been so cool over vacation. In fact, it had been a really cold winter this year, so we thought we would have a late blooming. Mr. John, our custodian, had been watching the garden every day for us. He told us that the first two plants bloomed on April 17th. When we got back to school there were plenty of buds which hadn't opened. So we had the fun of watching the rest of the garden bloom during our first week back after vacation. All those red tulips certainly looked beautiful. It was fun to go out to see what was new in our garden every day.
