Saw a female monarch very intent on laying eggs on the milkweed in the field next to our house (Hardwick, Vt) and venturing into our garden to lay eggs on the milkweed and butterfly weed. Today, 7/7/03, I saw a male monarch nectaring on incarnata at the north branch of VINS in Montpelier.

Hope to see lots of cats in a week!
