I was at in our Outdoor Classroom at Norton Elementary in Gwinnett County, Georgia cleaning out our pond. As I walked over to our healthy milkweed plot I saw two of the most beautiful monarchs I have ever laid eyes on! One was a female nectaring constantly on milkweed and the other monarch I could not identify. Both of them looked in very good condition, fresh wings with a very large wingspan. What a great way to begin the school year. My third grade science lessons have a great beginning!
