I finally saw my first monarch of the year. This is usually th time of the year that we see them in our area so hoping to see more. It flew into our yard late yesterday morning, fluttered around the yellow butterfly bush for a few minutes and then took off. It appeared to be newly hatched - did not look tattered. My two year old granddaughter was visiting and got to see it.
