I have put out Hummingbird feeders for 3 years and also have flowers that attract them. For the first time, on Friday, August 22nd, 2003 I had what I am pretty sure was a female Rufous at my feeder. It stayed for about 24 hours and disappeared. It probably was on its way to migration in the south and spotted the feeder and flowers. What can I do to get them to come in the spring since our flowering is later. We live 5 miles north of Soldotna, Alaska and near a lake. Our Latitude is about 60.4990 and Longitude is -150.5076. Thank you for any information you can supply..It was a wonderful sighting since Hummingbirds are my favorite bird.. I also took some great pictures of it at my feeder in my Bay Window.

Again, thanks so much for any info or feed back!
