A female monarch showed up in my butterfly garden last Saturday (Aug 23, 2003), and is still hanging around as of today, Friday, Aug. 29, 2003. She has laid a bunch of eggs on my milkweeds, which I have collected so that I can raise the caterpillars. She is a bit "weathered" looking, so I assume she has flown down here to Austin from somewhere up north.
