My students have found about 10 larvae and/or eggs in the first week of school. I am concerned because 4 of these have died. Two climbed to the top of the cage and died and I found 2 dead larvae under a leaf. I have been bringing larvae in for about 4 years and have never seen this before. The one difference this year is lots and lots of rain and very wet soil.
