Signs of Fall

Date: 09/02/2003

Number: 1

It has been over a week without any male Ruby Throats coming to the feeder. However, there are three females that would give him a good run with the fighting they do over who the feeder belongs to. The Grosebeak family left early Friday morning. Neat watching her take the seeds to the little ones on the limb of a nearby Ash tree. One lonely Monarch this past week end. Since yesterday we've had a whopping 4 inches of rain. Sure hope it's not a sign of things to come{snow fall} this winter. Sronger colors coming out on the trees. The Joy Sedum is also showing color. Still no takers on the Mountain Ash berries.
