Although we have had a few Monarchs all summer (a little unusual since in most years we do not and the summer has been very hot), we are now seeing more. In fact nearly every day, we see 2 or 3. Perhaps some are coming down from the northern sections of the Midwest-- and possibly because there are many butterfly gardeners in this area who plant milkweed, which means while the field plants suffered from lack of rain, there was an abundance of fresh plants in our gardens.
