We have released 3 Monarchs today and 2 last week. We watched them hatch out of their chrysalysis in our classrooom. We have a buttefly garden and lots of milkweed with a baby caterpillars. Last year the 3rd graders grew 1700 milkweed plants for Monarchs and they were planted in our community. Ms Wight has tagged 18 butterflies and only 2 were males. !! ??? We will write back next week. We are excited about the Journey North Program.
