It is Saturday, September 20, 2003 and the Monarch Butterflies are fluttering along from 1 to 3 per minute. Sometimes the south west wind is blowing them east. A rare one stops to feed on the Purple Cone flowers as well as the Verbina purple flowers. One did not make it and I found it dead on the road so I picked it up and put it in the car. It will be a neat souvenir of this year's migration after Isabel.
