A beautiful day filled with butterflies! Sunny, temperature in the 60's, light winds. I observed a steady stream of Monarchs throughout the day, at approximate rate of 1 per minute, sometimes more. From 10am (CDT) to 10:45 am - 50 Monarchs; from 1:00pm to 1:30 - 27 Monarchs. They just kept coming, floating and gliding, their orange wings illuminated by the sun. Most were above 15 feet or more.
