Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/23/2003

Number: 1

It rained yesterday, but today it was clear and breezy. The wind was coming from the northeast. We thought it might be a good day to spot monarchs. Sure enough, our 3rd grade class spotted 26 monarchs migrating in a 30 minute period. WOW! All the kids went crazy to see so many beautiful monarchs. We had fun making observations. Our teacher has never seen so many before. We have raised some monarchs this year. Right now, we have 2 chysalises.
