Observation time: 3:15-3:45 pm. Ten monarchs were observed feeding at a butterfly bush near my house. The monarchs spiraled and circled a nearby 15 foot red maple tree. At times it looked like they would disappear into it. Periodically, several would catch a gust of wind and flutter toward a large walnut tree. The temperature was approximately 68 degrees during that time span.
