We saw a Monarch emerging from a chrysalis that was attached to the side of a house. It was AMAZING! We didn't get to see it from the beginning....it was mostly out when we saw it.....but it took about an hour for it to get completely out and dried enough to fly away. There were no flowering plants nearby, and after it dried sufficiently, it spread its gorgeous wings (the left one had a tiny tear on one edge) and flew toward the west.
