After last weekends large migration wave I only saw a
few scattered stragglers from Monday through
Wednesday. Yesterday afternoon however, I counted a
dozen on the way home from work and when I checked my
trees in the evening there were several good-sized
clusters totaling about 150 monarchs, I tagged 30.
Definitely more than just stragglers ! We also have
about 30 eastern black swallowtail cats on our parsley
at school in various stages.
