LAST YEAR I PLANTED 2 BUTTERFLY BUSHES, THIS YEAR I PLANTED ABOUT 6 MILKWEED PLANTS NEAR THEM AND IN AUGUST WE HAD AN EGG ON ALMOST EVERY LEAF. I BROUGHT IN ABOUT 13 OF THE TINY CATERPILLARS AND FED THEM EVERY DAY IN A CAGE MADE OF NET. THEY ALL SUCCESSFULLY TURNED INTO PUPAS AND BUTTERFLIES AND WE RELEASED THEM. I HOPE TO HAVE A LOT MORE COME NEXT YEAR. ALL OF MY GRANDCHILDREN AND NEIGHBORHOOD CHILDREN WE VERY EAGER TO LEARN ABOUT THE MONARCHS. WE ALSO HAVE HAD ALOT OF PAINTED LADIES IN THE PAST WEEK ON OUR BUSHES.
