Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 10/01/2003

Number: 1

At the Abilene Zoo, next to the
duck pond, are two trees with perhaps 200 Monarchs. The trees are cypress. This is next to the
north wall, so they have got themselves a nice micro climate, as the temperature is dropping.
It was 57 f at 9:05 am and still dropping with a big cold blast coming down this morning
from the north.
