We actually planted our tulips on the 16th of October. It was a beautiful day. Today there are four other classes planting tulips and it is rainy and cold and yucky out. It was even sleeting for a while. We were so lucky to plant last week. Our tulips are planted in a bed that has a lot of worms and we are hoping that the worms are making the soil better all the time. Our class has pet composting worms in a big bin. We feed them a lot of left overs, but not banana skins! They make the leftover food into new soil for our tulip bed!
