Tagging and Observing peak migration at Sunset Point from 2:00 p.m. until 6:20 p.m. 13 Monarchs netted and tagged. Monarchs observed moving in a west south westerly direction towards Lake Pontchartrain Causeway and beyond. The flow on Monarchs ranged from 10 and 15 per minute to 5 per minute towards sunset.

Another 11 Monarchs netted and tagged at the same location on Monday, October 20 between 9:54 a.m. and 11:25 a.m.

I noted 10 per minute in the early hours and tappering at this location to 5 per minute closer to the noon hour.

Moved to a different location in the afternoon....under a separate posting.
