This is a report from a friend, Ted Dracos who observed monarchs west of Del Rio a little over a week ago (10/15/03) "The migration around Reagan Wells has been very slow but steady. However, I was driving west of Del Rio two days after the current high pressure ridge blew out all that rain we'd been having - about 9 days ago - and I saw more monarchs than I've ever seen at one time. Clouds of them - all heading SW. It was great, except I kept on swerving my car to avoid individuals without success - but did endanger my life a few times. What a drive that was though. Very memorable".
