Our students planted 28 tulip bulbs on a very windy and blustery October day. Leaves danced in the air, like butterflies swirling in a cloud, heading south for the winter. It has been a very dry fall.
We watch for clouds to gather, only to find the moisture falling on the hills and mountains to the west and east of us, ignoring the needs of the valley. Much rain is needed before the snow falls.
